Agenda

During this workshop attendees will participate in exercises that draw upon their strengths or weaknesses to develop a customized takeaway for each attendee. Lulu is also a comedian and vocalist so this will not be your every-day workshop as it will include music and laughs while learning.

Even with the advanced technology of vehicles today, there are still things under the hood that you can check, add to, and maintain. This class will show you how.  To learn more about Alternative Auto Care visit here.

Workshop Leader: Angela Wandle

This workshop will give women an introduction to basic motorcycle maintenance.  The workshop will include descriptions of the primary maintenance tasks, such as properly checking tires, fluids, brakes, simple adjustments like lever tension, cable tension,  chain slack, etc. Tools will also be available on site to give the ladies an idea of what is needed to complete a basic maintenance. This workshop will NOT teach specific techniques but rather give women an idea of what to look for, what needs done, and what resources may be needed to complete the tasks. The workshop will also include resources for where to find the specific procedures for their bikes. The goal of this workshop is to empower women to do their own motorcycle maintenance. It doesn’t have to be scary, overwhelming, or costly to try it yourself!

Bands/DJ

Bri got her start as a DJ and performer out West in Texas where she worked with an amazing international DJ and tapped into her talent. Since arriving in Ohio, she has had the pleasure of hosting local karaoke shows, dance parties, and private parties. Bri loves to sing just as much as she loves to use music to move a crowd.  You can learn more about Bri here.

Shiloh Hawkins is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist best known for her organic songwriting approach, emotive vocals and captivating storytelling. A native of Youngstown, Ohio, her musical career has taken her as far away as Austin, Texas. Being in a new city inspired Shiloh to create tracks such as “Put the Coffee On” and “Honey Bee,” but the pull of home brought her back to Ohio where she has settled in Columbus. Her latest album, “When You Love A Traveler” is an evolutionary breakaway from previous work, percussive and raw, drawing inspiration from 1960s and 70s Americana, Folk,  Jazz, and Country. The 13 track LP was released in March 2019. A new Folk EP, “The Time & The Tide”, will be released in 2022.

Columbus-based, super mom outfit, Trachete, dishes up a serious helping of harmony-infused garage rock!  You can follow them on Facebook HERE!  Go have a listen HERE! And if Instagram is your jam you can follow them HERE.

Help Us Spread The Word

Women's Car Show in Columbus Ohio on September 10, 2022

Women’s Motor Fest is an exciting car show created exclusively for women. It’s the first of its kind in the US. Our mission is to empower and inspire women in the world of automotive, skilled trades, and motorsports. We want to see more women showing off their cars, their skills, and getting involved in the automotive industry. If you’re a woman who loves cars, isn’t afraid to get under the hood, or loves driving in general, then we want you to come out to the show.

We know that women are just as interested in cars as men and actually buy more cars than men. According to Forbes, women purchase 62 percent of all new cars and are the decision makes in 85 percent of car sales. This tells that women do in fact love cars!

Women aren’t just buying cars, many of them are fixing them up by themselves. There are new women-only auto centers, and auto clinics run by women.  More women are investing in classic cars and buying vehicles that were once thought of just for men.

Women are buying more trucks and motorcycles. Twenty percent of all motorcycle riders are women. And, they even have their own biker events just for women. We want to see more of this. This is what inspired us to create Women’s Motor Fest. We hope this event helps spread awareness about the badass, empowered women who love cars, motorcycles, trucks and are excelling in the automotive industry.

Women’s Motor Fest is an excellent opportunity for women to connect with other like-minded women.  Our Women’s Car Show in Columbus Ohio is an event to celebrate women who are changing the auto industry. We hope you find these passionate women who weren’t afraid to step into roles that have been dominated by men as inspiring as we do.
