About Us

Women’s Motor Fest was founded in 2021. It emerged from the passion of women who work in, play with, or show an interest in the automotive, motorsports, off-roading, and motorcycling worlds. After hearing story after story of the challenges and limitations these women have experienced, it was clear that they needed a safe environment where they could share, brag about, and grow their passion in motor vehicles. Women’s Motor Fest is an event created to pique women’s interest through online content and exciting, educational, and experiential activities, Women’s Motor Fest will expand the minds of young girls and women’s minds about what is possible.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to grow an inclusive community of like-minded women who can thrive in the male-dominated spaces of automotive, motorsports, off-roading, and motorcycling by creating diverse and interactive events through fun, education, and collaboration.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to share our event with women across the U.S. who want to duplicate and lead Women’s Motor Fest events in their area.

Women's Motor Fest History

2022 Detroit WMF
2022 Columbus WMF

Jayme Blasiman, the owner and podcast host of Femcanic Garage drafted her first plan for an all woman’s event with the intent of this show spreading across the US.  The launch of this new show was scheduled for the summer of 2020.  We all know what happened in 2020!  The launch of this all ladies event was postponed.

Jayme reached out to Trish Horstman asking if she would consider being a featured guest on the Femcanic Garage podcast. Thankfully she said yes! During the pre-interview and after the recorded interview Jayme asked Trish if she would like to partner with her to help launch Jayme’s vision of a woman’s event. Again, thankfully Trish said YES!

The first event planning meeting kicks off for the women’s event.  The target was to launch this event during the summer of 2022.  Trish brought the owner of Throttle Gals, Doni into the fold.  Now we had a trifecta of ladies to work on bring not one but two shows to the public in 2022.

We were deciding between two names:

  1. Women Owned Whips
  2. Women’s Motor Fest

I think all know which one we settled on:-)
